This unique music experience you can only catch with the Memphis Symphony opens with Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No. 10 which he wrote as a musical protest against the oppression of the Soviet Union under Stalin.The second half is all African drums and dance with the Symphony Orchestra playing James Demars' SABAR Concert for African Drum with four of the best African drummers in the world! The African drummers are in demand internationally for their off the chain sounds and rhythms that go back generations.
